DTF Gang Sheets: How to Choose Sizes and Fit More Designs

A gang sheet puts many designs on one sheet so they print together. You press them yourself, whenever and however you need. It is one of the most flexible ways to order DTF transfers, and with a few layout habits you can fit more onto every sheet.

How our gang sheets work

Our gang sheets are 13 inches wide, and you choose the length from 1 foot up to 30 feet. There is no minimum, so you can start with a single foot. Prices are as low as $0.023 per square inch. Need more than 30 feet? In the builder you can add as many sheets as you like to the same design, each up to 30 feet long.

Gang sheet or transfers by size?

We offer both, and the best choice depends on your project.

  • DTF Transfers by Size: you pick the size of each design and how many of each you need. It is a great fit when you have a few designs you repeat many times, like a team logo for a whole roster.
  • Gang Sheet Builder: you arrange the designs yourself on one sheet. It is the better fit when you have many different designs or want full control over the layout.
  • Upload a Gang Sheet: already have a print-ready file? Upload it directly.

Which one costs less depends on your designs, so it is worth trying both calculators.

Plan your sizes

Think about where each design will go. Left-chest logos often run around 3 to 4 inches wide, while full-front designs often run 10 to 12 inches. Because the sheet is 13 inches wide, a full-front design fits across the width with room to spare.

Fit more designs on every sheet

  1. Group designs by size. Rows of similar sizes use space efficiently.
  2. Rotate wide designs 90 degrees when it helps them nest next to each other.
  3. Fill the gaps with small designs, like pocket prints, sleeve logos and extra copies of your mark.
  4. Keep gaps even. A small, consistent space between designs makes cutting and pressing easier.
  5. Add up the area before choosing a length. Allow some extra room for spacing.

Common mistakes

  • Using low-resolution artwork (see our guide on how to prepare artwork for DTF)
  • Forgetting extra sizes, like youth or sleeve versions
  • Packing designs too tightly together
